RealSims is unique within our industry in that we not only build and use our own line of helicopter and fixed wing simulators in our manufacturing department, we also offer Single, Multi Engine and Helicopter flight training services under FAA part 61 in our State-or-the art Flight Training Center located at the Deland FL. Regional Airport. As the manufacturer of simulators we can cost effectively build, install and maintain our own simulator facilities. This saves us MILLIONS of dollars as opposed to purchaing simulator hardware from a manufacturer. These savings are passed along to students and our Part 135 Operator clients by way significantly lower then average hourly simulator rates.
The Advanced Flight Training Services (AFTS) flight school is a contracted flight training company operating out of the RealSims Deland facility at the Deland Regional Airport under the facility management of RealSims ,LLC.. The advantages of training with AFTS if that students can significantly reduce the overall cost of their flight training by taking advantage of the state-of-art simulator center that is onsite. This senter features every level of aircraft from single engine to multi, jet aircraft as wel as helicopters. Several area flight schools use the simulator center as a means of keeping their rates lower as opposed to flying the real aircraft for instrument and entry level proficency flight training.
RealSims manages a large FLEET of AIRCRAFT for STUDENT and TIME BUILD RENTAL. If your training requires CFI baased time in an aircraft we do not currently have on properety, we can bring in one of our client managed aircraft to accomodate your needs.
Our fleet includes : Cessna 150, 152's Single Engine Aircraft, Piper Warrior's, G1000 Equipped Cessna 172/182's Piper Seneca Multi Engine, and Piper Arrow Aircraft for complex and instrument flight training,
Aircraft Time Build Programs Fixed Wing Single and Multi Engine and Complex VFR and IFR Aircraft are available for rent by the hour for time build and training. You must posses a Private Single Engine Certification to rent the aircraft (Club membership may be required for time build). Student Pilots may bring their own CFI with them for flight training or we can assign a CFI if student is interested in building flight time toward his/her private rating.

Our simulator center is equipped with a two full cockpit Bell 206B Jet Ranger AATD's, an A-STAR EC 350 AATD, one Jet Ranger Bell206 Part Task Trainer. one Piper Seneca Level 6 Simulator , one Reconfigurable Fixed Wing AATD that can be set up for King Air 1900, Piper Warrior or Seneca Aircraft.
In addition to our standard FAA Part 61 training, we currently provide several customized training programs to our Part 135 Operator customers. These include: Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, Med Evac, Department of Homeland Security and DoD Operators. Our custom training programs are client specific to meet the FAA requirements as well as the demands of their specialized training and operational needs. This training includes: assessment and proficiency checks or new hires, iinstrument recurrency training, IMC, and DE check rides, ongoing iinstrument refresher courses to keep their pilots current, and/or full iinstrument ratings required of pilots to meet job qualifications..
SIMULATOR FABRICATION - Providing Metal, Fiberglass and Machine fabrication for simulator cockpits, iinstrument consoles, panels, flight control systems and full motion platforms. Integration services include: electronic wiring assembly and installation of single and dual position cockpit environments to include image generators, visual and display systems for single and multi channel visual system and display system applications up to and including full hemispherical domes, large format curved and flat screen display systems and clustered LCD's Display options. The company also builds custom structures as well as simulator's for military (HumVee, Cougar MRPV and others) and commercial vehicles.
Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) FTD's and AFTD Simulators We offer a line of fixed and rotary wing AFTD's (to level 5) and FTD's in open (using our patented FasTrac Reconfigurable Technology) and closed cockpit configurations for General Aviation Aircraft and Helicopters, Corporate and VLJ and Commercial Airliners.
