FLIGHT TRAINING
RealSims is unique within our industry in that we not only build and use our own line of helicopter simulators in our manufacturing department, we also offer advanced Helicopter flight training services to Rotor Wing Operators in our State-or-the art Flight Training Center located at the Deland FL. Regional Airport. As the manufacturer of simulators we cost effectively build, install and maintain our own simulator inventory.
As a Flight training provider designing and manufacturing our own line of simulators saves us MILLIONS of dollars as opposed to purchasing simulators from a manufacturer at retail cost.
These savings are passed along to clients who use our Flight Training Services in the form of reduced hourly simulator rates. Our part 135 Operator clients significantly lower their overall cost of for pilot training.
Our Helicopter Flight Training programs range from: Private to Commercial Rotor Wing, Commercial Instrument, ATP, CFI and CFI-II ratings in piston or turbune aircraft
We offer Turbine Transition courses, Cockpit Resource Management (CRM), Transition into and out of Inadvertent Metriological conditions (IMC) and Mission/Scenario training geared to the client operators Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Our simulator center is equipped with a (2) full cockpit Bell 206B Jet Ranger AATD's, (1) A-STAR EC 350 AATD, (1) Jet Ranger Bell206 Part Task Trainer. We also have a Fixed Wing Multi Engine Piper Seneca Level 6 Simulator that can be used for muti-engine transition and instrument training.
In addition to our standard FAA flight training programs we offfer customized training programs to our Part 135 Operator customers. These clients include: Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, Med Evac, Department of Homeland Security and DoD Contracted Logistics Operators, and Off Shore Operators.
Our custom training programs are client specific designed to meet the FAA requirements as well as the demands of the specialized training and operational needs. This training includes: Assessment and Proficiency checks on new hires, Periodic Instrument Recurrency and Refresher Training, IMC, and DE Check Rides, We offer ongoing instrument refresher courses to keep pilots current on the changing PArt 135 and FAA FAR's and AIM regulations.

RealSims Manufacturing
SIMULATOR FABRICATION - Providing Metal, Fiberglass and Machine fabrication for simulator cockpits, instrument consoles, panels, flight control systems and full motion platforms. Integration services include: electronic wiring assembly and installation of single and dual position cockpit environments to include image generators, visual and display systems for single and multi channel visual system and display system applications up to and including full hemispherical domes, large format curved and flat screen display systems and clustered LCD's Display options. The company also builds gantry systems for large cockpit mounting and egress snd other custom structures as well as simulator cabs an cockpits for military (HumVee, Cougar MRPV, Rotor and Fixed Wing Aircraft).
Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) FTD's and AFTD Simulators We offer a line of fixed and rotary wing AFTD's (to level 5) and FTD's in open (using our patented FasTrac Reconfigurable Technology) and closed cockpit configurations for General Aviation Aircraft and Helicopters, Corporate and VLJ and Commercial Airliners.
Engineering & Consulting Services
Our engineering services include visual software development for the interactive training of rotor and fixed wing aircrews and UAV operations, hardware engineering, system level integration, prototype design and development, simulator systems maintenance and consulting services.
Facility Design & Management
Our experience in laying out the design, staffing and managing state of the art training centers provides us with the expertize to set up and our manage your flight or other type of training facility. We know what it takes to administer and manage large numbers of students including management of student records and files, managing the instructor staff and other important elements required to keep the operation running at maximum efficiency. Here's a just a few areas where our experience comes into play:
Facility Design - to ensure the layout and facility meets or exceeds mandated Insurance, OSHA, Federal and Local Building codes
Classrooms - Work with you to design classrooms so that they have appropriate lighting, space and multi media resources to insure confort of the instructor staff and students to maximize the learning experience
Break-rooms - Insure breakrooms and study areas are available and that te location will not have a impact on classes in session
HVAC - Often overlooked but very important, the facility must have adequate heating and air conditioning with several tempature control units to insure maximum flow of fresh air. Some facilities even go so far as to pipe additional oxygen through the system to keep keep students alert.
