Not only does the company provide helicopter simulator rental and flight training for existing pilots, we also offer a UNIQUE introduction to helicopter program to the general public through our Youth SIMPILOT PROGRAM.
The SIMPILOT program was developed by RealSims President and CEO Mr. Bob McGraw in conjunction with the US Navy's Digital Charter School for Military Aviation in San Diego CA.
Originally presented to the Navy as a program intended to bring an awareness to aviation to future young aviators, the program was created as a fun way to allow potential future pilots with an opportunity to exerience flying the same advanced helicopter simulators as those used by military and commercial pilots at affordable prices.
The SIMPILOT program was adapted by RealSIms when the Navy was unable to obtain the budget to implement the program..
The RealSims SIMPILOT PROGRAM tm is geared to students between the age of 15 - 21 to assess their aptitude to determine if they posess the drive and skills needed to enter and complete a complex flight training program. Student pilots progress through a series of simulator based helicipter flight training which includes ground school and hands on simulator scenarios designed to test intelectual, cognitive and retentive aptitude.
Once the students complete the basic SIMPILOT program which is offered at a SPECIAL INRRODUCTORY PRICE they can opt to progress into one of the private FAA certified rotary wing flight training programs offered through our affiliated Part 141 flight school partners to begin their carrer as a professional corporate or military helicopter pilot.
The SIMPILOT program is an excellent cost effective venue in which a young person can enter prior to signing up for a full fledged privare helicopter program. The SIMPILOT program was developed to enable the student and his or her parents to deterimne UP FRONT if he or she has the aptitude and dedication necessary to become a professional commercial or military helicopter pilot, prior to spending a lot of money on a full fledged private rotary wing training program only to learn down the road that it is overwhelming for the student and not a good carreer choice.
